Voice Prompts: Personality at Scale
Text prompts are generic. "Tell us about your experience" could be any business.
So we added voice prompts.
Now business owners can record their own audio that plays when a customer opens the review page. "Hey, it's Mike from Mike's Auto. If you've got 30 seconds, I'd love to hear how we did today."
Why this works:
- **Personality transfers.** The customer hears the actual owner. It feels personal, not corporate.
- **Reciprocity kicks in.** Someone just spoke to you directly. You're more likely to respond in kind.
- **Context is set.** The owner can mention specific things—"How was the pickup experience?" vs generic "tell us about your visit."
- **It's voice all the way down.** Voice prompt → voice response. The medium is consistent.
How it works:
Settings → Record Prompt → Save. The audio gets stored and plays automatically when customers load the review page.
Early data: pages with voice prompts have 15-20% higher completion rates. Small sample, but the direction is clear.
The insight: the same friction-reduction that works for customers (voice > typing) works for businesses too.
