AI Pull Quotes: The Best Line, Surfaced

A 45-second voice review might have 100 words. Only 10-15 of those words are gold.

"The staff was nice and everything was good and I really appreciated how fast they were and I'll definitely come back and tell my friends about it."

Somewhere in there is: "I'll definitely tell my friends about it."

That's the pull quote.

What we built:

After transcription, we run a second AI pass that extracts the single most impactful, quotable line. This gets stored separately and displayed prominently in dashboards and embeds.

Why it matters:

  1. **Social proof needs to be scannable.** Nobody reads 5 paragraphs of reviews. But a single punchy quote? That lands.
  1. **Marketing gets easier.** Business owners can grab the pull quote for ads, social, emails—no editing needed.
  1. **Pattern recognition.** When you see all your pull quotes together, themes emerge. "Fast" keeps coming up. "Friendly staff" is everywhere. That's data.

The prompt engineering:

We tell the AI: "Extract the single most powerful, quotable sentence that a business would want to highlight in marketing. Prefer emotional, specific language over generic praise."

Works about 90% of the time. The other 10% we fall back to the first sentence of the cleaned transcript.

This is the kind of feature AI makes trivial. Two years ago you'd need a human to do this.
